Given the current IT scenario which changes by the hour,
and where change is the need of the hour we have to
deliver more with minimal resources. In other words we
need to “do more with less”. Today everything is
service-oriented and to add to that, an economy
recovering from a recession has given impetus to
enterprises choosing service offerings over on- premise
applications.
“Cloud computing” is the current buzz word in the IT
space. Remember the data center management, production
environment, staging environment, failover strategies,
upgrades and what not which have had the IT departments
spend sleepless nights. Wouldn’t it be great if a single
service could take care of all the distress? Enter cloud
computing and you are free from all the hassles
encountered.
Proliferation of the Internet in recent years has
facilitated real-time access to consumer and business
products, software and solutions, without demanding an
end-user to personally own the underlying resource.
Cloud services are accessed over the Internet via
user-friendly web interfaces; they are location
independent and moreover do not drill a hole in your
pockets.

Why all the hype around cloud computing? Just two words:
cheaper and faster. The benefits of pay-as-you-go model
are so compelling that today, many have already adopted
or plan to turn towards cloud offerings |
